Howard, I have to admit, I did a lot of pricing around trying to save a buck. I looked at wheels here, tires there, etc., etc. But when you add up the shipping from several places and finding someone to mount & balance tires, (which has gotten pretty expensive especially for alloy wheels), Newstalgia ends up cheaper, or worst case, break even, and with the free mounting and balancing & shipping, nothing could be easier. (and NO sales tax!)
I like things hassle free!

Just wanted to say thanks to Howard for taking as much time with me as he did, when I was not really sure what I should install on my 65 Corvair Convertible to get the best look and performance possible. In the end, he sugested the Torque Thrust II with BF Goodrich tires, and I could not be more pleased with the results. The corvair has a sleek, yet not too aggressive look, and that is what I was going for.

I’ve had a subscription for several years and I’ve really enjoyed the magazine. I wish it had more pages so I could spend more time when reading it cover to cover and a million thanks for covering more ‘60s customs. Now that Custom Rodder is done, I must now rely on Rod and Custom and Street Rodder. The pre-war guys seem to be a bit snippy about the inclusion of the boxy, tank-like beasts of the 60’s, but they really are fun to work on and they have lines and a beauty of their own.
Anyway, I wanted to take some time and commend one of the vendors that advertises in the magazine. I recently ordered set of wheels and tires for my ’63 Lincoln from Newstalgia Wheel. It turns out I selected the wrong front tire size and I was worried that since it was my mistake and the tires were mounted, I would have to tough it out. I called Howard at Newstalgia and he let me know that their policy was that the customer must be 100% satisfied, so he let me un-mount the tires and ship them back for a credit. He was also kind enough to drop me a note stating that he had received them and that the credit had been processed. This was the absolute best customer service I’ve experienced. Newstalgia is a shining example of a customer conscious vendor. Hopefully you can pass this on to your readers.

I just wanted to take a minute to thank you folks at Newstalgia Wheel for a very good experience. I ordered a set of American Torq-Thust Originals this Monday morning and was very pleased to have my full order in hand Thursday. I was really surprised to receive the first pair of wheels on Tuesday. Most places can’t get an order shipped next day, much less delivered (even partial).
I also enjoyed talking to Howard. I talked to him on Wednesday when I called to get a tracking number for the second part of my order. I got the tracking number in a matter of seconds along with a dose of very positive attitude.
I now have the wheels I’ve wanted since the 60’s and a source I’ll be happy to recommend to anyone.

Just wanted to say how pleasant it was dealing with your company. I ordered all new wheels and tires for my 68 Camaro restoration on a Wednesday and they were at my front door by Friday, mounted and balanced to boot. This is a great idea. I can't think of anyone who has spent the time, effort and money on a classic car restoration that wants to take it down to the local tire shop to have a stranger putting their new wheels and tires on their baby while they sit in a waiting room hoping nothing goes wrong, and no one dings their car. Or, have to trek down and pick them up and bring them home.
I took them out of the boxes and put them on the car and they look great. No annoying tire salesmen and no price haggling (your prices are great). I will be in touch on future projects and intend on letting my friends know about your company.
